The Mu is a music project based in Seattle and was formed in Autumn 1999 by Myron Basden and Makirh. Together they write songs with a wide variety of styles.
The Mu has been playing regularly in the Seattle area since early 2000. The Mu is currently playing live as a trio. Their sound has been described as catchy, minimalist, mysterious, and distinctive.
In Autumn 2002, The Mu released its first album; a six song, self-recorded EP entitled "To be, to be, ten made, to be." On October 23, 2004, The Mu released "3D Feelings", an EP with six more original songs.
The Mu is also active in visual art and short film. At the 2004 Fucking Fabulous Film Festival, The Mu & friends debuted a short claymation. Look for The Mu to have shows featuring music and other media.
